Is there any way at all to enable the players to use the teleporters on themselves? In a way that they could put a crewman on the teleporter room, and then teleports this crewman to another room?
My current idea for a new ship needs this as a mechanic to work, and I'm afraid I might have to scrap the project, as just linking doors would make the ship too easy to use. The isolated rooms depending on a teleporter would be a big part of the challenge to this ship.
PS. Sorry for the repost, but I initially posted the thread on the wrong forum subforum. I asked the mods to delete it there.

As far as I'm aware, no. The number of things we can mod in FTL is very limited, sadly...

Re: Teleporting inside your own ship?
Almost every modder in the community wanted the ability to use teleport for doing that, instead of linking doors, but since ages ago, people realized that is not possible, all the mods (or almost 99,9%) that u see out there with the linking door system (included mine) are designed that way because the teleport doesnt work on your own ship. Its very sad, because using door linking system causes the crew to behave very weird and sometimes the time u waste trying to getting into a room is too high.
