.ftl is a .zip, just with a different extension. Other than that, there are no differences.
If the file still appears to be a zip, then you haven't done as harpuea told you to (file extensions, also win XP version) before changing to .ftl, so you've only changed the file's name, but not the extension.

That said, I've no idea why you won't just upload the ftl file somewhere else, other than forums' attachments. Forums don't accept the .ftl files because a) this "format" was not created by the devs and b) the devs did not create the site's engine themselves, they used phpBB, and c) phpBB apparently doesn't accept anything other than compressed archives (the one time I wanted to use it, I couldn't upload even a simple .txt file). If you really want to use forums' attachments, put the .ftl file into another zip, and upload that.
Dropbox.com and Google Drive are nice hosting providers (among countless others) that don't discriminate between file extensions, though I've had very little experience with the latter.

Uploaded a new winrar. Just extract and get the .ftl file from now on.

I followed your suggestion and put the .ftl file into another winrar archive. The reason I don't want to go to another hosting service is because the file is super small. Even the PNG image I also attached is 10 times bigger. By the time I finish my registration on a hosting service, I would have used 100 times the memory space. Somewhere in my mind, the internet is like a public park that is increasingly becoming polluted. I don't want to litter and fill it up with more useless information. Haha.

Looks like a nice little addition to the game, but I don't see the download anywhere.
Am I just looking in the wrong place, or is there some issue?

Updated for compatibility with Captain Edition 1.02.

I am playing CE for a while, but I missed having enemies suffer and getting sucked into the vacuum of space. I mainly made this for my own personal sadistic satisfaction, but it never hurts to share.

It is a small change but it adds quite a bit to the feel of the game.
