is there anyway of having the wepons and drones from this mod in the vanilla game? and if so where are the download links because i cant find them :( thanks :D

I have a suggestion. NERF THE MINI BOSSES! I ran into the Uber Mantis one that had a four person teleporter and a bunch of missiles. I didn't stand a chance with a ton of awesome upgraded stuff. That ship needs to be heavily nerfed considering I had a harder time with it than I ever have with the FINAL BOSS on NORMAL difficulty and the Engi B. (Yes I have beaten the final boss with the Engi B I got VERY lucky) That was just the first one. Please please nerf that boss in particular I have not ran into any others yet. I love this mod but that was very annoying as I almost died. I lived somehow. But I lost almost all my crew...

Nerf? i have max ship Kestrel type B and every boss is down in 40s :( I need more quests now is game jump to exit defeat first boss then jump to quest boss and exit...ftl go again sleep and i wait to new quest and content :cry:

Only miniboss that I can genuinely say I despised was the "battleship". And it pissed me off because it was gimmicky, doing ion damage with burst lasers and magically teleporting crew on my ship that it didn't have. But hey, whatever. This is an awesome mod and I can deal with a few gimmicks considering the overall badass nature of the game. And it was the only time I've ever really experienced an invasion involving a crystal dude and I was impressed by the AI's timing on when and how they use the lockdown ability. I somehow expected the AI not to use it at all lol.

As for the Uber Mantis boss, defense drones pretty much make it ignorable. Just get some defense drones + bombs to hit weapons and then just chillax as you kill it at your own pace. Oh and watch your crew because one shot from those missiles will kill a Zoltan instantly. I found out the hard way by losing two at once from full health because of one of those missiles.

Btw, running a boarding ship in Infinite Space is ROUGH, unlike the vanilla game where boarding vessels basically just cruise through so easily that it's ridiculous. From the onset, I was sweating bullets on some of those boarding runs... I like it. :D

When you just keep going you can get SO MUCH overpowered it gets funny. The cute little minibosses trying to do some damage... Awwww...
4 advanced burst lasers (20 beams volley)
Pre-ignighter and two autoloaders
Plus defense drone and plus anti-ship drone (for some time run with two plus defense drones)
Crew - 4 Zoltans on shield and engines, Slug the pilot, 2 Mantis boarders and Rockman on weapons.

Thanks Kieve for responding to the mod compatibility questions.

If you want just weapons or drones, you will want to look at other mods. For those that have had issues with crashes, make sure you are using the latest version.

@speedoflight, no you can't go backwards, but you can go forward forever.

If you find the mini bosses to be harder than the game's end game boss, GREAT! that was the intent. However, I've received a lot of feedback saying the opposite is true at times.

*NOTE: I've been testing with a version that uses the .append feature, which should make mod comparability a lot easier in the future. Sorry this took so long. Still no guarantee the experience will be any good though.

0.43 Issue

In FTL:IS 0.43, I received the Crystal Shard weapon from the "Dogma" event, but in the Equipment section, there is no image and the text description says: "You should never see this description."

I apparently blindly include that in one of the loot tables I was creating. I'll fix that for the next version, which should be out in a few days.

I don't like it. I like the idea, but it seems like you're giving us an extra 150 starting scrap and throwing us into sector 4 right off the bat. Level 3 shields should not be ripped through like toilet paper in sector 1. And every ship starts to run the exact second I pop their shields so I can't make any money to fix the damage from the fires that every single weapon seems to start now.

I dont think any mini-boss need to be nerfed. I noticed this game has an important part of luck, and its really hard to master all the ways u can defend-attack a ship. If u have bad luck, u can die even in the second sector, or if u miss something dumb like to protect your crew when a boarding party is on the ship, u are dead. I died so many times because i just was paying attention to targeting the enemy ship's shield with my ion weapons (i had 2 shield points and the enemy 3) and i didnt notice my 2 engis was dying, and when i realize was too late. And i only got 1 crew left. At this point, its almost sure u will die, cuz u dont have resources to strike back a boarding team or repair / extinct fire. Also i discovered that engines + piloting is almost the most important systems to max, when u need to kill a supossed op ship, when u need to avoid so many hits and attack at the same time. With 40-45 % of evade skill, u can fight in calm since u know the enemy will not reach your hull most of the times, and u can focus in plan a strategy to kill it. And if u cant destroy the enemy, u can just jump before u take too much damage, because your ftl will fill faster.

I really am amazed on the ammount of strategies u can follow in this game, and i guess thats one of the things made it so great.

Even if sometimes its almost impossible to survive, due to bad luck or just wrong strategies (its enough to apply the wrong strategy to kill a ship for u to die against a relatively low level enemy) sometimes u can get too far, and when u already have 3-4 shields and full weapons mounted in all slots with the maximum power possible, u are almost unstoppable.. and still, sometimes u will need to sweat a lot to kill some mini-bosses (and thats the idea i guess).

P.D.: Is there any mod that raises the number of powers bars. I found in my last game that i didnt have enough.. lol, i had 3 systems not maxed because i coudnt use all my weapons.. and that was made me to run out of fuel due to many ftl jumps backwards cuz i coudnt kill some ships. And i was on the 4th sector...
