No sound on Linux/Fedora 18

There's no sound when I run the game. Sound works for everything else on my system (RhythmBox, Chrome, other steam games etc). The console spams "SDL Error: no input method could be opened".

I have these packages installed,

I have the same issue..

Steam/Linux/Fedora 18

When I first got the game a couple weeks ago, I was enjoying sound, then after updating steam last week, I lost all my sound.

You aren't the only one!

MajorKong, do you also use Steam?

All I can say right now is that I run the game with no issue on Kubuntu 12.04.2 (32-bits), with ALSA 1.0.25 and PulseAudio 1.1.
