FTL not starting on Linux (Kubuntu 12.04) [SOLVED]

Post by vaim369 »

Everytime I try to run FTL, it brings up a screen that says loading, and then it restarts my computer immediately and takes me back to the logon screen to get on my laptop. I'm stumped, don't understand why it would do that

Nevermind, I took a long shot and deleted libstdc++.so.6 in the lib folder under amd 64

FTL\ Faster\ Than\ Light/data/amd64/lib/libstdc++.so.6

running just fine now

Thanks for this! I had the same problem running Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit and deleting the library fixed the issue.

This solved my problem aswell, on Fedora 18.
However it starts spaming:

Code: Select all

SDL Error: no input method could be opened
Did this happend for you aswell?

No, I have not had that behavior on Ubuntu 12.04.
