[SOLVED] FTL.exe Automatic Deletion

Hello, I bought FTL on Steam last week. I can play it without errors and I'd recommend it to anyone, but something is amiss with the executable.

I can run the game and close it, but when I try to run it again, FTL.exe is deleted and I have to verify my game cache on Steam and create a new .exe (which can take quite a while), after which I'm back to square one (which isn't a bad place to be, except that it preceeds a less good square).

It doesn't affect the game, it's just an inconvenience.

If exe's disappear, it's usually because of anti-virus software detecting a false threat. Have you tried temporarily disabling your AV or adding an exception for FTL to your AV?
