Troubleshooting on Linux 12.10

Post by McBain »

Hi,
Whenever I try to start the game from a terminal I get this message :

Loading Arch = amd64
No settings file found!
Initializing Crash Catcher...
Initializing Video
libGL error: failed to load driver: r600
libGL error: Try again with LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose for more details.
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
libGL error: Try again with LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose for more details.
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 154 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GLXCreateContext)
Serial number of failed request: 30
Current serial number in output stream: 31

Being new to Linux, I have no idea what it means, and more importantly what I should do to fix it.
Thanks

Apparently other Linux players recently had the same kind of issue. Have a look at the following thread, and tell us if it solves your problem: http://www.ftlgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=10589 :)
