Secret Christalline Homeworld

I reached it and got the Cruiser! They keep surrendering though, I've been killing everything by boarding ships and wiping the crews out, but I want to know if I should go ahead and wipe them out for more resources/scraps or if there's a better payoff by letting them surrender (for the Christalline folks specifically). The two wikis have zero information on the matter. There I've fought two battles with Christalline ships, one I let surrender and one I finished, I'm on the surrender/finish off dialog of the third fight right now and wondering which I should pick, I don't want to miss out on anything!
