FTL Infinite Loop Crash?
I Loaded FLT Bought Through The Website On My PC And It Is Saying That I Need A Higher Resolution, I Know That So I Told It To Continue Anyway (Was Going To Pause And Slide The Screen) I Created A New Game And Made My Ship, It Was Working Fine Until I Attempted To Continue A Which Point I Got My Ship, The First Window Of Text And My Computer Just Froze, It Then Blue Screened And Said Something About An Infinite Loop And I Had To Turn It off By Pressing The Power Button, I Don't Know About My Graphics Card Drivers I Got My New PC For Christmas So I Don't Know The Specs, Also Nvidia Couldn't Workout What My Drivers Were. Please, Any Help Would Be Useful,

Hello, and welcome to the forums!
Sorry to hear you have trouble running the game.
Can you tell us what graphics card you have? You said it's NVidia, can you say which particular card?
Can you tell us which version of Windows you have? Windows 7, Windows 8? Is it a 32-bits version, or a 64-bits version?

Re: FTL Infinite Loop Crash?
Is it crashing when you hit "Continue" only? Can you start a new game and it doesn't happen? If you do start a new game you'll lose your progress from your earlier one, but the game are short (most last < an hour especially for new players), so it would be worth trying.
I'm sorry I'm just not clear on when the freeze is occurring. Hopefully we can get it fixed!

Re: FTL Infinite Loop Crash?
Hi, i've Poked around and found that i don't have a graphics card, i'm on windows XP and it's 32 bit i think, the crash is when i start a game, it's just after i create a ship, it tells me that i'm a captain fleeing the rebels and it's just then that it freezes, also it does the same thing during the tutorials but about halfway through, when it tells me to fire on the enemy,

Thanks for giving some more details, hopefully this will help Matthew.

Can you press the Windows key + the R key together, and type "dxdiag" in the dialog box that appears? It will run the Microsoft DirectX diagnostics. In the Display tab, the top-left zone should be about your graphics card / graphics chip, it will notably have the name and the manufacturer. Can you tell us what they are, or post a screenshot? In that same tab, the top-right zone should be about your graphics driver, can you tell us which version is written there?

Well, if you have a screen attached to your computer, then you have a graphics card. It may actually be a small graphics chip soldered to your motherboard, but there's something that is controlling the screen.Yargon1111 wrote:Hi, i've Poked around and found that i don't have a graphics card

Re: FTL Infinite Loop Crash?
the graphics card is: Intel(R) Q965/Q963 Express Chipset Family
The Driver Is: igxprd.dll
Version: 6.14.0010.4943(English)
I Guess It's A Small motherboard Version, I'm Using A Optilex 745 And It Has a pretty Small Case And I Won't Be Able To Run Anything Big,

Sorry for the delay. Can you actually run that dxdiag program again but click the button on the bottom labelled "Save All Information" and email me (zasdarq@ftlgame.com) the text file it generates?
