Unable to run game

I purchased FTL through Steam. My video drivers are up to date. I have reinstalled the game and reboot my PC. In all instances, when I try to run the game normally as an administrator, a white screen pops up briefly and then disappears again, but I remain at the desktop. The stderr and stdout logs are both empty. My crashlogs show this, however:

The devs will take a look at the log, thanks for posting it. Quick question though: What OS and video driver are you using?

Hello. Sorry about the start failure. It looks like it's a crash caused by the video driver. I'd recommend you update them, since that generally fixes the problem. If you're still having issues, send a dxdiag dump to me at zasdarq@ftlgame.com

Hopefully we'll get it working.
