i hoped it wouldn't be a too severe degree of necromancy but since i was so besotted with the idea i just had to add my 2 scrap in necromancy be damned!

All's well. Thread necromancy may be poor internet etiquette but it's not against the rules. And this topic could use a little love anyway - a veteran crew would be awesome, and I really really hope Matt & Justin take note of this suggestion.

I guess that depends on the forum. There is no reason not to revive a topic if there is something usefull or topical to mention. As long as it's not completely pointless it's welcome.

On this forum old players leave and sometimes come back, and new people join when they find out about the game. Some old threads are releveant to new members and explain quite well how common problems can be solved.

As Kieve mentiones there's no rule about reviving old topics. There's only one forum rule in fact, and it's "Don't be a jerk."
