Mod idea - Scrap ship

Ship that starts with minimal equipment but has a decent amount of scrap collected. You have to make do with what you can find in shops. Meant to be difficult.

Scrap: 300
Weapons: 4 slots, no weapons
Shields: none
Engines: 4
Drone Control: 3 slots, repair drone
Long Range Scanners to avoid fights.
Scrap Recovery Arm for flavor.

Crew is Zoltan or engi. Otherwise teleporter becomes too clearly the best strategy.

sounds like an interesting idea, but try the Merchant Ship in the duality mod for something similer

I gave that a go. It is indeed very similar to my idea.

It does have the easy teleport strategy I mentioned. In sector 2 I already have a very strong setup, because I found some crew and a teleporter. And those are not hard to find. More an issue with FTL than the mod, though.

Seems like a interesting idea, you planning to create this ship yourself, or looking for a modder to do it?

No, not looking to mod it myself.

As mentioned The Merchant Cruiser by zaratustra is very close to this.

If you're looking to mod it yourself, are you making your own sprites? Or are you looking for help?
