Requesting Mac Installation Guide

I've read just about every post on every page when it comes to installing/using mods for mac. I have had no luck installing GMM. It seems that some of the advice that is out there is currently outdated, compared to the latest release. I've read the read me that is included, but that isn't working for me.

I was wondering if someone that has GMM working for mac could make a quick video tutorial for installing it and making mods work. I have the steam version of FTL.

I love this game and want so badly to be able to expand and change what it can do. So, thank you in advance for any help.

I've been trying at this off and on for about 2 months. The one time I decide to ask for help, the answer was posted 3 hours earlier...
