[Solved] Zoltan crew member [didn't] disappear

I was moving my Zoltan to the medic bay from the weapons room in the Kestrel A during a battle because he was low on health (fighting fire). As he crossed the empty room in between (where there was no fire) and was almost to the medic bay door he disappeared. And I'm quite sure I saw the transporter animation when he disappeared. Also, he still had at least 10% health, and was not currently taking damage, so I'm quite sure he didn't die. I had no teleporter on the ship and I'm pretty sure the enemy ship didn't either (although I don't think enemies use teleporters to abduct crew members anyway...)

He died. The death animation looks a lot like the tele animation.

Maybe he suffocated? Or stray shot?

The Zoltan death animation is a teleporter effect. He did die, it just seems like you didn't notice why.

Thanks, well that explains it. I just didn't see how he died, then.

I had the same thing happen. Almost the same situation. Going into the medbay but there was a mantis with him. It was probably a bomb that I didn't see teleport that got them.

i had something like that happen to me too but it was a human and i saw a stary missile hit him dead on as he was runing to the medbay with low health
