Linux version from GoG ?

Post by MoaJeg »

Hi,
I bought the game two days ago, and since I already had a GoG account I decided to buy it from there.
But the GoG website only offers the Windows and Mac version of the game, while I spend most of my
time on Linux. Do you know how / where I could download the Linux version of the game ?
For now I have to restart my computer every time I want to play, and that's not very convenient :|
Thanks.

From the game website. All three platforms, DRM free.

EDIT - Oh sorry, i thought you meant buy. GOG will eventually have the linux version as well. Guess you either have to wait or buy another copy.

I also bought the GOG version. They only recently added Mac versions to their games catalogue and they are planning to include Linux in the future. When the Mac version FTL was added to GOG it automatically added to my purchased Win version, so i assume it will be the same when the Linux version comes out.

I love GOG but i play on Win, so i kinda wonder why you bought the game there when you mostly use Linux? Did you belive you would get the other version as well? Or was it simply never mentioned that other versions are available on the game website?

I knew that the game was available for Linux, and I thought that all three versions would be available in any place I buy it.
I bought it on GoG since I already had bought a few games from there (for which I need to switch to Windows...) and I found it more convenient to have it all grouped at the same place.
But if the Linux version is coming it's fine, I'll just wait and play on Windows in the meanwhile :)

Thanks
