FTL Playthroughs

Hi, I recently started a youtube channel and I have done a few FTL playthroughs where I try to beat the game and I try each of the ships and their layouts. If anyone has some time to spare can they watch some and comment me their thoughts on my video's.

I don't know if you happen to know any of the channels listed. Anyway, you should watch their FTL videos and pay attention on how they manage to entertain their viewers.

I'm assuming that someone who set aside an hour or so to watch a FTL run to the end must have something beyond the gameplay itself to keep him watching it.

I'm not saying you should do exactly like they do when it comes to commenting. Rather, the list is there to showcase people that add value to the video by doing a good job in keeping the viewer entertained throughout.

That is exactly what your videos lack: Good commentary in particular and enthusiasm in general. I'm not sure if that was the type of critic you were looking for, but...there you go. Hope it helps somehow.

I think Fangz said it best, your videos just lack enthusiasm. I don't know a whole lot about making youtube videos, but I'm of the opinion that you want to make videos that are more interesting than if your viewer were to just play the game themselves. When a lot of your commentary feels a bit half-hearted, it risks losing the audiences' attention. The occaisional mumbling doesn't help either: if we can't hear you, it can get irritating fast.

Thanks for the advice I will start looking at some of them to see what I can do better but thanks for actually taking time to look.
