Game has suddenly stopped loading

I've been playing FTL for a couple weeks now, but all of a sudden it's stopped working for me. Whenever I load the game up it just gives be a white window, which turns into a black window after about two minutes, at which point the game crashes. I updated my driver and it hasn't solved the problem. I even reinstalled the game and it's still not working, so it has to be something in my computer. Any idea what could be the cause?

Maybe your prof.sav and/or continue.sav files are corrupted. Try to move them away from the directory where they are located, and then start the game again.

Yeah I removed my profile from My Games. Didn't help. Good thing I saved it elsewhere or I would have deleted it for no reason.

Make sure that you disable Steam cloud before removing your profile file, if that is causing the problem then Steam will just restore it after deleting it

Do you have any crashlogs in the crashlogs folder in you FTL installation folder? Email any you might have to zasdarq@ftlgame.com

I bought the game of GOG.

I'll check my folder to see if I have any crashlogs but I haven't seen any before. I'm writing from a different computer right now so I'll have to see when I get home.

I checked and the error doesn't produce a crash log.

Can you try running the game in admin mode? Some of the GOG installs seem to have troubles creating files like the crashlogs.

I am in admin mode, and the crash does not produce a crash log.
