It is consumed in the process. However, if you have both it means you need a mere handful of drone parts to power your other drones so you have a ridiculous surplus that can all be fed to the Hull repair drone.
They do. That other guy doesn't know what he's talking about.I think drone recovery arms also recover anti-ship and beam drones (offensive drones).
I've noticed that every time I destroy an enemy ship with drones, I always get a "refund" on those drones (and when I jump, my defense drones gets "refunded")
