Need Help
I've bought this game a week ago and played on easy until I beat the rebel flagship. Infact easy is now so ridiculiously easy I won three times in a row. I decided I'd try normal after beating the boss but got my ass handed to me by sector 7. Seriously, my problem is that I can never seem to collect enough scrap to buy weapons, upgrades, or repairs. The stores NEVER sell weapons so I'm running around like an asshole until either I rage quit and switch to easy or I die. Please give me some tips to survive it's driving me insane!

yeah i tried the guides and stuff but everytime i die early on due to the lack of scrap! i know its supposed to be difficult and rouge-like but it more of just pisses me off to how much of an advantage the enemy has early on

well i find that most of the games i lose are those were i try to upgrade my weapons early, or waste money on weapons before the 4th sector.
You want to
upgrade your shields to lvl 2 ASAP
buy a dronce control bay and a defence drone.
this way you will receive less dmg and will have more scrap to invest.
Keep you defences upgraded and you will waste little scrap on repairs.
scrap the game if u lost more than 50% hull integrity before sector 2.
Ideally (on normal) u should have 100 scrap before u go to sector 2 or have found some items to use/sell, if not restart.

ok so i got level 2 shields that do jack squat cause almost all the enemies have a missile of some sort. it helps with the lasers (thanks for that tip) but they can simply cripple my shields. also i have to also buy power bars and engines to have a higher evasion chance. at this point i think i just suck

It's a very difficult game. Getting the hang of it takes time.
Have you tried taking out their weapons with a missile, then working on shields, so you can keep them pretty much dead in the water?
