It is just that simple. When you beat the game the victory screen comes up showing the names of your ship and crew. In addition to this the game should show the ship (Engi, Zoltan, etc..), layout (A or B), and (most important) the difficulty (easy or normal).
Lots of people posting victory screenshots on Steam and we know a lot of those victories are EASY victories.
I'm a NORMAL player and proud of it.
Please devs, add this!
Show difficulty and ship type on victory screen!

This is a fantastic and practical idea.

Eh, sounds like time better spent on other aspects of the game.

Next time I have a suggestion in mind I will first submit it to you so you decide if it is worth or not the time of the devs. Everybody should do the same, right?icepick wrote:Eh, sounds like time better spent on other aspects of the game.

Honestly, it would take about 2 lines of code to add, and not that much of a waste of time.Fangz wrote:Next time I have a suggestion in mind I will first submit it to you so you decide if it is worth or not the time of the devs. Everybody should do the same, right?icepick wrote:Eh, sounds like time better spent on other aspects of the game.
It is a simple realistic idea that the devs could easily release in an update, and much more practical than
"add more difficulties, add more random events" etc.

This is end of story screen. Adding stuff like "mantis ship on normal difficulty" would break the moment.
You can say "it's so easy my cat could add it in five minutes" all you want, but that doesn't make it true. He made a suggestion, his opinion. I stated my own. Not sure why people are getting angsty about it.

I see your point, icepick, but let me remind you that the so called "story screen" contains the following: names of the ship and crew, a standard text ("The Rebel's Flagship was destroyed blah blah...") aaaaand.........GAME CREDITS! "A Game From: Subset Games Created by: Matthew Davis and Justin Ma". Talk about breaking the moment, right?icepick wrote:This is end of story screen. I'm not suggesting a big image showing the ship with which you finished the game and a glittery text telling that you are awesome because you beat it on normal. Just a very discreet set of icons and/or text describing ship, layout and difficulty. Discreet enough in order to minimize the immersion breaking but enough sized to allow someone looking at a screenshot to tell.
As StarWarsOZ said, how could that take so much of a time from the devs? Plus, why disputing a suggestion on the basis of time spent to implement? Does that make any sense considering you are not part of the dev team? It is up to them, not to you, deciding how to use their time.

Fair enough, I could see that working. Just think I'd rather see more in game content.
I'd just rather they spend their incredibly limited (this is two people) time on something that enhances more of the game for more people. Saying "their time is limited and I'd rather see something else in game" is just a valid a thing to say as, "people are posting screen caps and I'd like to see certain info on said screen."Fangz wrote: Plus, why disputing a suggestion on the basis of time spent to implement?
