Assertion Failed Error

Post by busboybud »

I have been working on several mods on my laptop. I transferred the unpacked files over to my desktop and continued working on them. I packed up the data files into data.dat and replaced the original in my resources folder. I've done this several times on my laptop with no issues. When I attempt to run FTL I get an error at the loading screen:

"
Assertion failed!

Program: ...
File: src/rapidxml/rapidxml.hpp
Line: 1383

..."

I have attempted to take the original data.dat, unpack it, make no changes, and then pack it back up. the file goes from 917kb to 909kb and displays the same error. I'm using the most recent version of FTL dat

EDIT:
I have found a way around this for the time being... you must take the vanilla .dat file and use the replace command for each modded file

I don't know if you're still getting this problem, or if you're even still even reading the forums, but I hope you get this.

The problem is the unpack/pack-ing tool... if you use the FTLDAT r7 by Bas... it should work perfectly.. it's quite easy to use after installation aswell.
