Hi to you all!

I've just recently discovered the forums and the modding potential to this game, so I've started experimenting with weapons, but I have no clue on how to do this (or if it is even possible):

So, can a "reverse teleport weapon" be coded? By that I mean, can I have a weapon or a system that targets an enemy ship's room and randomly pics a crewmember in that room (with a chance of failure, plus obviously failing if said room is empty) and teleport him to a designated room in your ship (common choice would be medbay I guess)?

If it can be coded as a weapon effect then I'd immediately make it hapen and call it "Snatcher beam" :D

Intriguing idea but: No. Not at this time.
There's a significant chunk of game function hardcoded in, that can't really be modded or played around with. The FTL:Overdrive project is attempting to change that with an engine rewrite that allows Lua scripting for broader possibilities, but right now I don't see a teleporter weapon happening.
