Will FTL be updated with new features and stuff?
It's an amazing game, but there are still some things that could be added.
For instance, when your ship is boarded and you manage to destroy the enemy while their crew members are on your ship, you should get the option to recruit them or throw them into space, or the option to surrender when a fight doesn't go your way, just like the AI has - give away some scrap, ammo and stuff.

I wonder as well what kind of new content could be added to the game.
I know for certain that a hard/extreme mode would be appreciated by several folks.
Make the enemies deal more melee damage, have a higher shield limit of 6, longer shield regen times for everyone, etc.
Also being able to change gamelength would be nice, 4-6-8-12-16-32-100 sectors per playthrough selection. To balance this out, raise/reduce scrap rewards accordingly. (lol, 100 sectors would be insane but you know SOMEONE would want that)
I like the idea about trying to bribe enemies with fuel/missles/scrap, like if your engines are damaged and you're pretty much close to FUBAR via enemy assault.
New ship designs would be nice, along with a few new weapons, maybe a new race that can survive without O2 but is extra weak to fire and damage.
