Hi all,
so I've been playing through FTL and I'm still not sick of it. But I've been wondering about simple ways the game could be cooler.
One thing I figured would be great is the ability to pick your ship's paint job. Or even be able to make one for yourself. This could even work with the achievement system, in that you could unlock more paint jobs as you go.

Because the ships aren't "paint jobs" but entirely different sprites. And I don't just mean the .txt room layouts or .xml profiles for ship loadout and destructible gib placement.
What I'm saying is that when you unlock a new ship, be it a different cruiser OR a type-B, it's an entirely different ship, according to the game - even if it may just look like the same ship with a new paint job.
