[Suggestion] Boarding missions

I would love to see a mission type in which you'll find a drifting ship or decrewed spacestation and you are then able to board the station (either with teleport or by docking via scripting). You then have your whole crew (or just 2) on board and can explore the interior (sensors lvl 2+ would be offline during this mission, because they cant penetrate the hull or something).
Every room could contain scrap, missiles fuel, weapons, survivors, attackers etc. Some doors are looked or malfunctioning so they cant be opened. Some ships also can have destroyed 02-gens or are about to explode so you have time pressure.

This system would be a nice addition to the existing missions, since you are only managing the crew on a different space ship. In this kind of event you dont even need to see your own ship, so the spacestation you are on could cover the whole screen and therefore contain more rooms.

Just an idea.

The way you propose it would require modification of the binary.

However, I am thinking of adding an event type to my mod where you board a derelict ship. The defenders are all drones. Not sure how I would handle a captain who decides to just blast at it from his ship, but it's a start.

can you give it 100% evasion?

Can you make the encounter hack your weapons system (and artillery beam)? Technically you don't need to hack the drones system if you give the ship enough shields. oh wait the player can just make his boarders kill the shield system can't they? The end boss has AI control and can repair without crew or repair drones. maybe if you have that active on the ship in addition to the drones defending it? But then how would you win? :? tricky one that.

Unless you mark a ship as AI, a ship without crew will automatically 'lose'. Only stuffing it with Boarding Drones shouldn't work.
It's possible to disable player weapons and suchlike.
100% evasion should be possible if you give the ship a ludicrously powerful engine (8 is only the cap for player-ships) and sufficient energy.
