Suggestion: Sell fuel/missiles/parts

Greetings.

I'd like to suggest an ability to sell fuel/missiles/parts at shops, at least for 1/3 of their price (fuel for 1, missile for 2, drone for 3). Reason is, often you lack one or two scrap to buy something very nice early in the game (like, a crew teleporter or shields/cloak), and you have those useless items pile up (most ships dont use either missiles or drones), its maddening how you cannot sell them for at least a miserable sum of scraps.

Or maybe even not call it selling, but scrapping? Like, scrap X missiles. Shops provide facilities to scrap your missiles/drone parts?

Anyways, i think this would be easy to add, will not break balance that much (by the end of the game you collected like 2k scrap, and you can have ~30 useless missiles and ~20 parts, which if converted to scrap at 1/3 rate is not that much really) but help a bit with early start, where randomness has the worst impact (and you may be less inclined to restart game just because it screwed you over and you arrived at the only shop with 149 scrap instead of 150 you need for shield/cloak.

This has been suggested throughout beta and a few times after. I don't think it is likely to change.

If it does change the game would probably be rebalanced to reduce scrap you get from encounters as a counter to gaining scrap from fuel, missiles and drone parts.

Well, you are not going to sell fuel, thats for sure, unless its close to endgame - i rarely have excess fuel by the end of the game (entering S8) and i'm buying fuel, so that means that usually you wont be willing to sell fuel, except at late game - and by then, 10 or 20 scrap you can get from selling your full supply isnt that much, since you get like 40-60 from each encounter.

Missiles and drone parts, again i'm never buying those and i end up with ~30 of missiles and ~20 drones at the end tops. I dont use missile weapons much, and i try to use "sell for scrap" options when i find them. They will help you at the start to get that extra upgrade you need in "tight" situations, when you lack very little amount of scrap for something big. Thats really about it - so you could do some unprofitable trade to get something you really want at specific point in time, this wont really add a lot of scrap into the game (100 scrap tops when you gather over 2k is what, 5%?). Plus you can already sell them currently, but they're random.

Even if you'd reduce scrap gain from events/enemies by 1 it would already mean having equal if not less scrap overall.
