Repair-Bot Dispersal? [Spoil?]

After finishing a fight by teleporting a Breach Bomb II into a medbay to kill off the remaining enemies, I noticed something really odd that I've never seen before. The hull breach caused by the bomb started to repair itself, despite the crew being dead and the fight over. Is this some kind of ship augment doing this? Can it repair other systems? Is it something a player can get? There was an animation similar to the one used by crew being healed, except that instead of green crosses it was grey.

Ive seen that in streams. It's kind of a spoiler prolly.

It's a slug augment. It only repairs hull breaches. You get it by default on the slug cruiser (which I am now hunting)
