That's sort of the point but it ruins a lot of the fun of unlocking each ship at a time. Unless you're really frustrated at trying to get the Crystal Cruiser for the umpteenth time but the events are not falling into place

Can this be made to work with the latest Captain's Edition?  It doesn't seem to work anymore.

I wonder if there is a way to adjust the disable fleet where it doesn't chase you in civilian sectors but will at hostile and nebula sectors?

This is a simple .FTL mod for use with Grognak's Mod Manager. It disables fleet pursuit and adds a bit of flavor text at game start.
Does it work with silmstream mod manager and so far it looks like it increased the pursuit speed
