Otherwise you could completely change the weapon class and give it a "piercing shield = 5" value.


It could, but flak-typed weapon cannot have a hit image, only projectile (which cannot be animated other than being spun as it goes).
And even tho we can put <sp>5</sp>, the enemy shield will still reacted to the 'invisible' projectile (it will appeared 'morphed' from one side, as if something just went thru it).

EDIT: Well apparently you can put hit image on flak-type weapon as explosion ._. stoopid me is stoopid~

Woah, you surely are doing an awesome job here! :mrgreen:

Out of curiosity, are you planning to use in another way the first skin of the Zoltan anti-crew rifle?
Has anyone ever considered a Warhammer 40,000 Mod for this game? It would be awesome!

Is there any chance that you will revert to the old Sonic Boom (bomb-type) weapon?
The current one is hard-to-use at very least, and the 3 power bars required really seem too much.

May I suggest you different versions of that weapon class?
Mk.I → wide area, slow reload time, 1 power bar, OHK only Zoltan members
Mk.II → small area (like your shotguns), average reload time, 2 power bars, OHK only Zoltans
Mk.III → bomb type, slow reload time, 2 power bars, OHK everyone but Rockmen. (and since it's a bomb you can target your own ship)

Also I think even 4 power bars are necessary if it will OHKO everything other than Rockmen, since other AP weapons most of the time never OHKO anything other than Hologram and Zoltan at 3 power bars xD

Hmm, not sure. For me it's too simple and too similar to the original design, so I don't think I will use it xD
