Good afternoon

I've just got the game yesterday. Got me hooked right away. However I am lost with some of the options.

I was wondering if there is a thread for beginners somewhere. I searched and could not find anything.

There is lots of information on this board but all separate. I was wondering if somebody already wrote a FTL for idiots somewhere

I'm working on a series of video tips. But the best thing to do is go through the tutorial. Maybe twice.

Learn to use the PAUSE key. A lot. Pause, then give crew orders, change power settings, target with your weapons, etc. Then unpause and watch for a few moments.

Also, there's no rush to jump after you complete a battle (well unless you're near a sun or in an asteroid field). Its usually good to take the time to heal up your crew and repair your ship and let your Oxygen get back up to 100% before jumping to the next location.
