"Ahh..Kr. I knew i'd get someone like you. Now put the gun back or you're going to get terminated like a Class D with an Omni keycard. Oh, and get to your station, there's a ship in range that's lost a wing and isn't too happy about it!"

Upon hearing Tabitha's request to repair the replicators he said "Sure, though you might want to hold your breath while I work."
He then walked to the piloting station and found the replicator. Arkangel carefully melted a part of his body and surounded the replicator with it. After a few moments he resolidified the metal, formed a cup from his hand and sipped the liquid, significantly less sludgy than before. "Yep, this is definitely coffee. I think it's fixed now." With that, he walked back to his station.
I do random stuff and surf on the fourms. That's about it.

As the Lanius got to work fixing the replicator, Tabitha noticed the low oxygen warning light on her console. She gave the air a few sniffs and scoffed at how the entire detection system was probably broken and giving out false readings. I don't think a single person can absorb all the air in the room that quickly, she thought to herself.
She thanked Arkangel for the help and gave the machine a quick test of her own. "Still bad but not really bad" she said "I will definitely need to buy a percolator in the mess at the first store we find."
Then the word came down from the AI - a ship missing a wing was detected in the area. "This is why we need a Captain. What are our orders and motives for dealing with stranded ships? Does the Captain have a different take on the Federation-standard response?"

The AI's warning to Kr didn't go without even more suspicion by Kr. He decided to disregard what it had said and keep the gun with him. "As long as I don't go too close to any control panels, there's nothing to my knowledge that the glorified computer program can do" he thought.

"We're getting a hail! Arm the weapons."
As the ship armed its defenses, Quintet slipped into a private communications channel with Kr.
"So. You think i'm harmless. I know what you've done with your life. I know what breaks you.
Didn't you figure out with your powerful mind that this ship and the crew that fill it are worthless to me? I could turn around and work for the rebels.
Also, your headset's loaded with a termination poision that kills in seconds, if that helps. So is the entire ship."
The ship's hail reached the ship.
"Leave or die. We must repair."
"There isn't good or bad. There's just insane."

As Tabitha pulled the ship over within weapons range, she quickly looked under the console to see if she could find a respirator; her initial search didn't turn up with one, but she felt something that was smooth and rounded like a tank of sorts. This time however, she was determined to pry it loose and see if it was actually an emergency air supply or even just a fire extinguisher.

It didn't feel integrated with the ship's systems so she assumed it was some sort of air canister as she pried it loose from the console. There were then the sounds of wires disconnecting so she quickly looked back up to see that the console and ship systems didn't suffer any damage from her impromptu removal of the tank.

Seeing as how it wasn't her job to communicate with ships, she waited for someone to give out the proper response while she examined the tank which made a sloshing noise as she rotated it. Something didn't seem right, especially at how it was lightly integrated to the ship's computer. If the ship had better funding, it probably would never have been found. She however did not want to report her findings over the comms in case the saboteur was listening.

Sp opened the doors leading to the pilot cabin, and stepped in.
He's glow was still a bit orange from the hyper jump, but it was slowly shifting back to green.
The light's in the room got a bit brighter, and you could see streams of energy going from Sp's body down through the floor.
While in the FTL room the lights got a bit dimmer.
- Tabitha, is it? He said.
- You are the person piloting the ship.
- Since you are the closest to interact with the FTL drive, I wanted to tell you that I will keep it working at max efficiency, but we can upgrade it even further.
- Upgrades will give us extra evasion ability in space. But they will require quite a bit of spare parts and other scrap.
- Also I wanted to ask you about this, Sp pulls out from behind a strange looking round canister with some liquid inside.
- I found it crudely attached to the FTL drive. And during our hyper jump I've detected that presence of this piece is in no way related to the drive it self.
- Sp put the round tank on one of the shelves, and said: - Please, if you know it's purpose use it.
With that he turned and left the pilot cabin. The lights in the room went back to their normal glow strength.

Tabitha looked at the canister she was given. It seemed to be identical to the one she found in her console.
"Ummm, thanks but I'm not the Captain. I don't have the deciding power on where the scrap goes" she said to the strange Zoltan "But I agree, extra evasion is important and there's only so much I can do at the helm."

I think I can rule him out as a saboteur, she thought to herself, even if his origins are mysterious.
"I have no idea what those canisters are but they're probably not something vital. Although I could probably trade them in at a store for something that is..."

Targon, after hearing a ship was in need of repair, checked the weapons just in case the distress call was a trap. Flak 1... no problems. ASB... no proble- what the-?

A small square to the top right of the screen was beeping loudly, flashing the words "unknown substance". Concerned, Targon went into the ASB system itself. Hum. I don't see anything unusual, everything's pretty much normal for an artillery system. Wait, what's this? A sphere tank the size of a curled-up Slug was sitting next to the energy pipe. After a closer look at it Targon saw that it was plugged into it with one large wire. I think I'll pull it. Targon popped the cord out of the tank and the beeping stopped.

What is this thing anyway? Better get it into more light. He rolled it out of the machinery and saw that the circular tank was a dark gray, and it was impossible to see inside, and the plug had mysteriously vanished. Wanting to know more about this thing, he pushed the tank to his room, on the way seeing Tabitha holding one other tank the same color as his and another one was perched on a shelf. "Looks like I'm not the only one who's finding this stuff. What is it, anyway? And what're we supposed to do about that damaged ship?"
I've created Type C Hulls for the enemy Mantis, Slug, Rock, and Zoltan ships, and anyone can use these for a mod.
Check out the details here.
