What I am posting here is a gigantic list of ideas I have. I felt like I should post it here so that it is easier to edit and also because the rate at which I come up with ideas largely exceeds the implementation of these ideas. Whenever I think about something I write it down, but then I hardly go back to it. so HERE WE GO!

One more thing. This forum doesn't like spaces longer than one space, so I put in dashes to correct this. the dashes are just really tabs, but since tabs don't work I put dashes. tabs work on notepad++, and that's how I organize. it makes sense too, something under a line with a tab in front means it is a subset (like subset games?!) of the line above. a double tab under a single tab line means the same thing and so on.

mod that shows all beacon connections... this mod would make the mystery
involved in thinking about jumps and this experience may be RUINED

MAKE A MODDING tutorial with descriptions:
1. What is modding --> diff. between customizing and modding imo
2. regardless everything will be referred everywhere as modding

- intermediate step Notepad++ how to navigate
3. ship creation ---> various facets
4. weapon creation
5. combining files

-------------high stun chance, maybe shard in nature (freezing shards!, stun shards! {yellow maybe, hey another idea keeps on blooming -- blooming!
-------------flower type weaponry, man, ideas just keep flowing --- water type weapons, shard makes sense for ice. if only there could be negative
-------------fire chance (puts out fires on enemy ship, Creates Flooding! what an idea!). blue weapons look regal with blue, red, green charge
-------------burst laser to commemorate 25th anniv' GT type thing --> blue, with red ribbons/flair. so blue ice weapons, piercing maybe and med
-------------breach chance. blue red regality, increased cost, power efficiency, symbols of a forgotten EMPIRE, electromagnetic PIRE -> emPire or
-------------emPIRE weapon. huh, interesting. so ice weapons, um, increased durability, have solid power. Solid. MGS crossover incoming
-------------*new section below somewhere. don't know what else to say about blue ice weapons. looks like Shiva from CE or something. I like the
-------------Hydra/Ogre missile battery but they seem low in power, so maybe an artillery version of those. uses or doesn't use one missile.
-------------Is a heavy battery meaning it has more damage in each missile making it suitable for artillery but has long recharge time
-------------maybe make a set in stone recharge time limit that is separate from other artillery. is the only one that can only have slow recharge
-------------or rather, has a limit to increasing recharge but just for itself. looks like a heavy battery in appearance mounted to side of ship
-------------where it can be seen unlike vanilla fed laser artillery weapon. so yeah, ice weapons are solid and feel good to use, but have
-------------downsides/ must have downsides in that they are crystalline/shardlike in/by nature. (Which one is it? 'in' or 'by'?? How to tell??)
-------------Fire Suppression packaged as "Low Temperature" or "Cold Thermostat" or "Heat Exhaust"(since hot outside cold inside) or "Space Life"
-------------(since must be cold in space) because of ice cold/ frozen solid ship

Durability anyone?! extended to include repairing weapons after durability wears out. Package this maybe as "Warranty". maybe only some weaponry goes
bad but is really effective. e.g. corrupt dragon/barrows armor in rs compared to regular armor.

Note: see reddit comment about see the repairs in ships, paint jobs, ships with different levels --- quarters due to sleep. sleep deprivation results
in worsened abilites by crew. < 100% multiplier if sleep deprived.

the ftl soundtrack from in-game is lets creativity flow. good job guys! can be applied to coding, thinking, art etc.

use this idea to make a class of pirate ships specifically, not bound by a particular race! ideas, ideas

mechanical/mechanized class of ships and maybe also another set of ships that are steampunk but thing to keep in mind, reason for this sentence is the
ship greebles being gears and also loose wires protruding as well as gears in the gibs.

mechanical/cyborg pirate ships. that would be cool. holograms would make sense lore wise as well as lanius and one or two crew members that are usually
pirates

one more thing, redesign crew skins with pirate affiliation/wear/clothing/accessories to make crew look like space pirates. this would make enemies look
like pirates too though. PIRATE CONVERSION MOD. based solely upon pirates. pirates rule the galaxy. pirate flagship. use sm Polish kit's pirate stronghold
as source of encouragement/inspiration. pirate quests to unlock other pirate cruisers with similar but different looks. all in all total conversion to piracy
and subsequently/therefore pirates. pirate looking weapons including cannons, gatling laser (not like vulcan, different appearance), rotating/rotary laser
that is reminiscient of that strange looking Hull Blazer Weapon. how to solve problem of empty weapon? how does it work when you have a base ship mod with
weapons and then is somehow overwritten by others! ah I see! overwritten... How exactly does the AWM Roulette thing work anyways
pirates. change descriptions of things. mod that changes all language to pirate speak/lingo

MGS conversion. What the heck would this even look like? brainstorming at its finest.

old fashioned spying/espionage battles conversion

look at existing combos of crew. see which ones aren't used. maybe list them here?

green camouflage simo-h with mgs stuff, c box wtf? solid snake crew member, etc.

idea for ftl 2/otherspace. oxygen refill rate/oxygen powered or not affects no o2 health drain rate.

seemingly OP ship with low engines 10 hull

selling clones since you can reclone. maybe cargo of bodies. weird stuff and has a diminishing effect on
crew morale or crew may leave if you sell it or even do it. similar to Captain's Edition where crew may leave
if you do something that alienates your crew and stuff...

like pulsar, except with stun element, so like a stun cloud or something. greenish yellow haze

ship with extremely OP >4 power weapon, but very bad defenses, layout, power use so maybe
backup battery/emergency power. need some defense though.
or Maybe it has good defenses but little power so reliance on backup battery
-----or weapons has ((weapon power amt) + 2) to give dmg buffer

rebel ship with lanius "knifes" impaled in it. "knifes" from a small lanius ship

pasta conversion. meatball cannon, pasta flak, etc.

WarlockJa: Can you incapacitate the ship and take the crew as prisoners?

flak 3. 'nuff said

ship with clonebay acting as bridge between two halves of the ship. clonebay pod blocks door to one half of the ship. crew all situated to start
on side of ship with door blocked by pod and must die to get to the other half. healing burst for crew on starting side. must be essential systems
on both halves of the ship

ship that is a cage and looks like a lobster cage from runescape

ship that can tank damage but is limited to weapons that are good for novelty and have one cool feature that helps but that's it

conversion that gives you gradually less and less scrap rather than more and more scrap. may be possible by giving boost to early sectors
and negative boost (is this possible??) to later sectors

missile weapon that doesn't use missile and doesn't do damage, but has system dmg and high breach or fire chance

weapon like the high-yield ares missile launcher. fires an ungodly amount of missiles in one volley (one missile, so maybe a nano-missile battery. no
that has already been made -- the hydra. maybe if it only stunned? is stun only for ion? missiles can also stun.
------------1. stun battery. no shield piercing. ion weapon. cripples enemy defenses and stuns crew. doesn't do much else.
------------2. fire machine. this is an artillery that has 5 shield piercing like other missiles. fires 7 (lucky number 7) missiles with high fire chance.
------------3. stunner gunner. this is also an artillery but it has 2 shield piercing and is very similar to the light laser. it fires a spew (hah! vague,
---------------just the way I like it) of light lasers that only stun. stun can be applied to non ion-weapons, no?
------------4. high fivre (fibre typo, eh?). launches and serves the enemy a dish containing high fivre -- five-fire. this weapon has a high fire chance and
---------------variants:
--------------------------a. long charge time and delivers a massive shot of fivre. 5 system damage or (5 x 15) (or 5 x 20?) crew damage. takes ages to reload, but
-----------------------------when it does charge up, it delivers a blast! high fire chance indeed.

------------------------------i. 5 spread out shots happening at the same time so it's an artillery? doesn't have to be. remember! it can have a massive radius
