You can scrap during events, but sometimes I get free stuff and can't refuse it because I have the space, and then I get to a shop and want to buy a better thing and can't because I'm full up.

There should be a dismiss option for weapons and augmentations like there is for crew.

there's a "sell" tab in the top of the store menu.

You can drag weapons, drones and augments to the box on the left side. When hovering the mouse over various equipment you can see the scrap value.
