Hi =)

When I try to start the game it takes about 20 minutes until the loading bar is full. After that I also just get around 1 fps.
So it seems to run in slowmotion somehow ......

I updated my nvidia driver
disables the steam overlay
disabled the cloud thing
have set it to fullscreen with black bars
disabled the windows 7 aero styles
disables my anti virus program and my firewall
reinstalled the game
steam is already up to date
restarted my pc

that was all I found while searching around here.... maybe someone knows how to fix my problem

just looked at the cpu cores. all 4 raise from under 20% workload to over 70% while loading the game

thanks in advance!!

20 minutes!

What CPU do you have? How much RAM do you have? And most importantly, what graphics card do you have?

Can you post a dxdiag dump? Or email me on to zasdarq@ftlgame.com

Sorry about this. Hopefully we can get it worked out.

The first 2 bars of the loading bar are loaded pretty fast and then it becomes that super slow.

I have an
AMD phenom2, 4x3,2Ghz
16 GB Ram
Geforce gtx 570
Windows 7 64bit

So more than enough hardware power I thing ;)

@ Matthew, edit: Mailed you the dxdiag file

I think its a problem with your video driver. There is the same problem with the old xbox when people put the 1400mhz cpu in some games would run 2x speed.

Is this system OEM with a preloaded os or custom with a retail os? Preloaded os's always seem to be finicky, photoshop not installing or sony vegas making a slideshow movie lol...

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. It looks like your drivers are indeed fully up to date and your computer is far above any requirements to run FTL. Can you try uninstalling / reinstalling you video drivers to make sure everything is ok on that end? And can you try forcing on (and off) v-sync from within you NVIDIA Control Panel? Odd and unique problem for that type of system!

IT'S WORKING NOW =)

The problem was the Threaded-Optimisation in the Nvidia ControlPanel. Had to switch that thing off.

Steam says I already have 68 Minutes PlayTime, and that just while watching the loading bar xD So now it's time for real gameplay =)
