Hello,
Is there any way/mod to choose which crew members board potentially dangerous areas, etc.?
It's really annoying how you can't send in who you want to. Am I the minority? Does that add an element to the game that I just don't get?

There's no way to do it. I'm guessing that its balanced around the free crew you can get at most of those locations being random as well usually.

It's all about risk vs reward:

You should never be able to make the decision with which crew member you do certain events because it will eliminate the risk factor. And that risk vs reward is what keeps the text based part of FTL really engaging and fun every time you play.

If you could just decide to sent in any crew member it wouldn't be a problem if you have a crew of 8. Even when you have 8 crew it should still be a difficult decision.

Anyway, have fun playing maybe someone will even make a mod for it some day
