Maybe stores can have items on sale like Binding of Isaac occasionally?
Also, skilled labourers in the shops.

I guess he meant discounts on items in the stores and crew with some skills developed already.

Mhmm. In "Binding of Isaac", there's a chance items will be 50% off in the stores. That might be a bit much though, here.

I would prefer a bonus item *cough* more weapons *cough*.

Well, they could most certainly decrease the price off, maybe like 10-15%.

Honestly I'd be happy seeing at least a little more logic in what stores sell. For example I'm getting really really annoyed of having cloaking device appear in the first store I visit, and finding the scrap recovery arm in the 7th sector, it's just silly.
Likewise in the homeworlds or X controlled sectors, perhaps seeing more of that groups weapons and upgrades. Have the engi sectors sell drones and the facility for them, and cloaking. Have the zolton sectors selling beam weapons.
Perhaps have the other sectors weapons and equipment turn up in non race sectors at a higher price. So cloaking device (as it's the only price I remember) might be 140 in an engi sector, and 160 everywhere else, rather than just 150 across the board.

Sounds like FTL is throwing barrels of bad luck at you. Sorry to hear that

Sometimes it's good luck, sometimes bad.
As for logic in store sales, the stores are allways completely random. Dont know if that's logical but it's at least consistent. You can allways count on a store to repair and get a lil bit of extra fuel, but anything beyond that is pure luck. Try not to rely on stores and avoid them when you have little scrap. Sometimes there will be one or two beacons you can visit before going for the store. With a bit of luck you may earn some extra scrap.
Varying prices on HW sectors isn't a bad idea, but changing the odds sounds bad. What if a HW isn't a part of the game? You'd be locked out even more by having a lesser chance to find specialised drones/weaponry.

Well, in Binding Of Isaac everything is random. You could get a bad shop with a heart and some keys, or you could get the best weapons in the game. It would be nice to arrive at a shop, and some random weapon you would not have normally purchased is a bit cheaper.
