I don't know how many of you are in the habit of checking the FTL News Page, so I'm also posting this here.

The dev team has just announced that FTL has been selected for Indie Game Mag's Game of the Year 2012 Award!

FTL competes in two categories:

• Best Computer Game
• Game of the Year

Vote for the Awards

These awards are given purely based on public vote, so be sure to cast yours!

By the way, what is your Most Anticipated Game of 2013? Starbound sounds very interesting, but may be too ambitious?

Why would I want to vote in the categories I have no interest/knowledge in.

You only have to vote in the Game of the Year and Most Anticipated Game of 2013; all others are optional. I think the latter should also be optional. Of course, if you vote for FTL, you will also want to vote in the Best Computer Game category.
