Tried playing FTL today and as soon as I start the game the screen starts blinking - switching rapidly between the game screen and a blank black screen. The game can be started and otherwise works normally, but the screen keeps flashing.
When I try to run the game in a window, I get this:

Other games are working normally for me, so I don't think it's a hardware issue...
Anyone else had this problem?

i hate to inflict this question on anyone, but have you checked that your video drivers are up to date?

Yes, latest drivers installed.
Just discovered that disabling Crossfire on my ATI cards lets me start FTL normally.

Just figured out that the same thing happens to me when trying to start other 2D games like SPAZ and Revenge of the Titans so it's probably some kind of driver issue and not strictly FTL related... 3D games work normally tho.
