You know how when you are using the zoltan cruiser, anytime an event sends boarders on your ship it says "you don't know how they got through your zoltan energy shield"? I just ran into one event where it says that where it doesn't really make sense. Namely, the one where you find a mantis escape pod, and when you pry it open the mantis inside is hostile. That's not a situation where it makes sense to add you don't know how he got on your ship.

Haha. Sadly there's no simple solution to that, outside of flagging every single potential boarding event for if it should receive that text, which seems a tad excessive. Maybe the energy shield shouldn't have even let the escape pod through if it had mantis lifesigns

Except sometimes its a mantis that is friendly and joins your crew.

I'm gonna go ahead and just imagine that the mantis popped out of the escape pod, jumped out of the airlock, then swung on a grappling hook out and around your ship, through in the energy shield, and back in.
