been like this for the last 20 minutes



playing with delay on fleet, made a nasty ship for myself
based on boarding, missiles and defense
tried with many to board, lost most of them (main 3 that had 20% extra damage)
ran out of missiles and they managed to repair the shields to fast
defense.... doing nothing right now

1 jump away from base
dont have any other useful weapon in the bay to exchange

Brave soldier, all that you can do now is jump away from the combat, and go drown your shame in the strongest liquor you can find, while the new world order is put into place.

Even if you hadn't run out of missiles, the second stage would have stopped you even worse as they get a defense drone.

Btw, I once found out that if you jump away to repair and get more missiles, the boss will repair all the damage you did when you get back. The only thing that stays damaged is losing crew members. Thus if possible I try to kill all the enemy crew in the first stage. Or rather I now try to leave the one in the laser room alive, as if all crew die they get the automated ship auto-repair ability (don't use the beam room, as that is gone in the third stage.) That way even if my weapons are lacking I can disable the shields with boarders. I'm not sure how many missiles you started that fight with, but you should have focused them on the medbay to give you a chance of pulling that off.
