(There are plenty of guides about, but this posts aims at stressing how overpowerd boarding is atm.)

Whichever strategy u are using (lets exlude boarding) there is ONE thing you can do to make the fight easier.

Said action is, teleport 2 crew to the enemy weapons C (missiles) and B (laser) in this order, your objective is to kill the crew and take down the weapon ofc, so that it cannot be repaired again. Once you have killed the crew you will just have to board that room again at the beggining of each fight. For the 1st 2 battles u can do this as soon as the battle starts (for battle 3 u need to take zoltan shields down 1st) and it will reduce a lot of the damage u take.

note: in fight 1 after u have taken down weapons B & C dont worry about A and D and focus on the drone bay to reduce dmg you recieve in the second fight.

said action will provide u with more survivability and you will retain more structural integrity between fights.

Damaging the drone control in the first fight does nothing in the second fight.

And killing the laser-gunner is a mistake. The flagship switches to autopilot when all crew are killed, so leaving the laser gunner alive avoids the ship auto-repairing damaged systems.

Yeah, that triple missile launcher is deadly in all phases. Boarding it ASAP helps so much.

i never mentioned having to board the rest of the ship and kill the main crew. just the men arming weapons C and B

But killing the rest of the crew is an easier strategy. Since the flagship doesn't replenish crew between phases, you can kill all but the laser gunner in phase 1. Then, in phases 2 and 3, even a single boarder can indiscriminately destroy systems aboard the flagship without them ever being repaired. This means that you can immediately board and destroy the drone control in phase 2, and you'll never have to deal with the teleporter in phase 3.

the post is about non boarding strategies.

the intention of the post is to show how even non boarding setups have to rely on boarding to deal with the boss effectively.

i think u didnt read the thread well

So if the OP was about non-boarding strategies, why does your strategy say "board weapons B and C"?
