Got an i7 dual proc, hd 5870 graphics card, and running windows 7. Playing Fallout new vegas fine but was surprised when this game would just crash to desktop. The Latest crashlog says:

Are you drivers up-to-date?

Also, I know some person on this forum updated his driver, only to find Windows ended-up using its software OpenGL renderer instead of the newly installed one. Can you post your stdout.txt file? It should say what OpenGL implementation the game found when starting.

Stdout? That file has 0 KB. It has nothing on it when opened. I have yet to play the game on my laptop. It crashes on startup.

I have figured it has to be the outdated driver on my asus that REFUSES to upgrade. Guess I'll have to wait to play it on my desktop.
But, Great game wtg! Feeling really miffed at asus, purchased 2 asus laptops and the google nexus, which I think they made. They are awesome but if they don't upgrade, 2years and these devices would soon become worse than my consoles. I hate it when people say this but damn... Alienware laptops may be the only way to go for us. BUILD your desktops, purchase an alienware laptop. Then again I have no idea how good their mobile devices are personally.

This ASUS problem is sadly common and I'm trying to find a solution that will allow you to play despite the driver update, but no updates on that yet. Has anyone tried contacting ASUS about this? It seems odd if they find it acceptable that their laptops have 3 year old drivers and cannot be updated :(
