Background animation idea

So after playing the game for a good while, and noticing that the nebula and asteroid field backgrounds were animated, I had an idea that I feel would help immersion.

Basically, when you are in combat with the enemy ships the attacks tend to come from many different locations, yet the backgrounds for the most part remain static.

The idea is to, like with the nebula and asteroid fields, have the backgrounds move around in certain patterns, as well as having larger portions being just starscapes. That way, it would feel like the ships are actually moving around and trying to evade as opposed to sitting still while lasers and beams come out of nowhere.

Thoughts?

I was honestly surprised this wasn't done. It's not a hard thing to do, just have a background that is flush around the edges and have it scroll randomly, the speed of the scroll determined by engine power and the angle determined by the pilot's evasive maneuvers.

Y'know, enemy ship releases a huge barrage of missiles and shit, pilot goes crazy all over the place trying to dodge...

Only issue is that we would then see a thread named 'Post your space-sickness symptoms!'
