During the this event, I had a crew member about the enemy ship. When it jumped, the crew member went with it and I was not able to recover him.

I don't really think that this is working as intended.

What event?
When you jump or they jump, everyone left on board of enemy vessel is lost.

That was intended. You need to take care of your (wo)men.
