[REQUEST]Survival mod

Hi,

So, I'd really like the idea of a story-less survival mod in which there's no sectors and map, instead every time a player hit Jump, the game randomly choses an encounter (fight, shop, distress, etc) and the mod would keep track of the number of jumps the player did up until dying, so the point would obviously be to survive longer/jump the most.

This would also require to increase the difficulty accordingly, so even if you max out your ship, it's still not gets boring.
For example: after every 10th jump, passively increase all enemy encounters hp/damage or decrease stats like weapon reload time and shield regeneration and so on by let's say 10%. The point is to make this mod hard and challenging even more so than the story mode, but without the linear ending.


The reason is that I love FTL and quite frankly the boss fight is kind of bottlenecking the whole game because quite frankly I find it boring.

Thoughts?

I'm aware but it's still in development and I'm not sure if it'll be any difficult.

Remember, he DID point out that you wouldn't always be the stronger one of the two ships in an encounter. While there will be situations where you'll just steamroll the enemy, there will also be situations where YOU are the one who's going to be flattened. And, of course, fair fights. :D

Trust me. It's difficult. I can't get past sector two of Infinite space. I like your idea. I really do. Infinite Space is similar enough to take it's place though for now.
