Simple question - I've got both at the moment thanks to random drops, but they are too similar to keep.

Hull missile simply rips ships to shreds - but can be shot down by drones.

Bombs get past shields and drones, but don't do much damage. Great for taking shields and weapons offline though.

Which would you go with?

I personally prefer the small bomb. They do the same 2 damage to systems, right? That's the important bit, really. I want my bombs/missiles to be taking out their systems; if I can keep their stuff disabled, lasers can punch through the hull just fine. Also, the small bomb charges more quickly, IIRC, and it takes less power.

I always use bombs on the final boss, to take down guna and then the medbay. Even better that it doenst do hull damage, so my boarders have more time killing each enemy over several teleports.
