As the subject says: jump to a beacon with a "Distress" signal on it, do what you find in it, then when your FTL Engine is ready click "Jump". Once you get back to the astral map, instead of disappear, the "Distress" label will still be alongside the little blue square (=visited) of the beacon.

Screen added
(this round I'm playing with Stealth Cruiser and the Distress call triggered the "base defense system gone haywire", solved by blue cloaking option)

For reference, I can both verify that I've seen this as well, and also state that the "Distress" tag
does go away as soon as you jump to another sector. So, it does not persist after jumping, but prior to actually jumping, but after "doing" whatever Distressed thing there is at the beacon, it does still claim to be "Distressed" before you jump.
So, not sure if bug or working as intended.
