So does anyone else think the Engi look very much like the Vortigaunts from the Half Life universe ?
I'm not saying this is very obvious or intentional but still, they do have some common traits : kinda stooping, big eye on the forehead, can repair stuff (although as far as special powers go the Vorts are closer to the Zoltan imho).
Also, they are peaceful guys who side with the player and fight against ugly, aggressive other aliens (the Mantis). Oh, and btw they are sometimes used as slaves.
This leads to AWESOME story development possibilities !

I suppose that's one possibility.

I happen to think differently. (Why did the artist have to draw that with a bullet wound though? Eesh.)

Also, I'm not sure this belongs in "Stories & Storytelling," more like the Discussion forum.

You are welcome to your opinion of course.
I should point out however that "that headless thing" is a Geth from Mass Effect, and its head is the glowing eye on top. Vortigaunts on the other hand aren't robots by any definition and as the OP already mentioned, are a lot closer to Zoltan than Engi, ability-wise.

'Course, arguing about it is pretty silly too, since Engi = Engi, and aren't from Half-Life or Mass Effect.
