Please remember the previous ship name (not really a bug)

Just a quality of life thing...I like naming my ship, but I'd rather not have to type the ship's name in again every time.
Could you at least add an option, perhaps a check box next to the name, to remember your previously-used name? Uncheck it and it changes to whichever ship you select?
I searched the forum and didn't see a previous request for this, sorry if it's been asked before. I don't even know if the devs tend to see these things and would be willing to implement it.
If this isn't something you can do, no harm done, sorry for bothering you!
