Idea for a new room: Reactor

Where does the ship energy come from? We see it get hit by plasma storms' but otherwise the system seems unreachable and undamageable. And invisible: why not having a (modded) reactor room, it would sit safe on the federation cruiser along the phaser system lookalike it has. You damage it and the overall energy for other systems falls down. But should you destroy it outright, the explosion would be enough to destroy the ship and severely scar the other.

That might be a little bit too powerful. That one room would be as important as all the other rooms combined. And there would be no tactical consideration as to which room to fix first, it would always be that room.
If it makes you feel better, you can view hull as the containment strength on your warp core, and taking too much damage too the containment unit is what causes your reactor to explode.

This cannot be modded (through XML), but the devs have said they are interested in a concept like this somewhere (I can't be bothered to look it up right now)...
